Jelbis Korgaru is a Dug and was born on Malastare. Like most Dugs he was mean and foul mouthed; getting into trouble came easy. There was always something that seemed to save him though. Luck, or a sixth sense, or something... he didn't know exactly what it was. One day an off-worlder took notice of him. Turns out this person was a Jedi, and recognized Jelbis was strong with the Force. This person approached Jelbis and told him of the Force and the Jedi. Suspicious, yet intrigued, Jelbis listened and learned a few things from this new Jedi master. Jelbis agreed to learn the ways of the Force and was especially hopeful after learning of Tabakan Pak, a Dug Jedi during the High Republic Era. Jelbis learned what he could from holocrons and what his master could teach him, but eventually he left Malastare behind and went to Ossus and joined the Jedi Order. While there, his natural Dug ability to pilot was recognized as well and he started training to fly ships. The Light Side was stressed, however Jelbis tended to lean toward the belief of balancing all sides of the Force. Jelbis thinks it's not the power that matters, but how you use it and the Force itself doesn't corrupt you. Being strong of will and morals will make you a great Jedi.
Jelbis has learned much and now works as a Jedi, though not a true master yet. He is still foul mouthed, but works to follow the ways of the Jedi. Some old habits die hard though, as he rarely speaks anything but Dug unless he has to. He favors, and has trained for, two saber fighting and uses yellow lightsabers.
Pith Dalrac is the Jedi master who discovered Jelbis, and took him on as a padawan. She is a Kel Dor.
Kel Dor evolved on Dorin, a world with an atmosphere consisting mostly of helium and a gas that is unique to that world. As such, Kel Dor cannot breathe on planets with common nitrogen/oxygen atmospheres and need to wear a breathing apparatus and protective goggles. The Kel Dor have a distinct connection to the Force, not only for battle but also for piloting.
